There is an alarming increase of Dengue cases in Karanataka with as many as 1,100 people being effected with the disease. A total of 3,026 cases have been reported in one year.
The Karnataka government released the statistics and is taking preventive measures to improve healthcare services in the affected areas. Bengaluru is reported to have the highest number of Dengue cases with 966 patients reported from the city in the last one month alone.
An increase in the number of Chikungunya cases has also been reported in Karnataka with as many as 1,136 people bed ridden from the painful fever. The Karnataka government would release more funds to curb breeding of mosquitoes in the affected areas.
