Late ‘Vishnuvardhan’ is a role model for many people. Not just for acting, His well-behaved nature and his respect towards women made him dear to many people. After the demise of the legendry actor, director Kodi Ramakrishna decided to recreate his memories for his fans through his next fantasy thriller ‘Nagarahavu’.

The film started about four years ago but the director was facing some critical health issues and the female lead of the film, Ramya was busy with her political life, the project was kept under folds for many years. Now finally everything is set well for the completion of the film and is ready get released soon. Diganth will be seen in the male lead character next to Ramya.

As a part of movie promotions, the team kept a 3D standee of Vishnuvardhan in a King’s attire in theatres. It worked so well that popular Kannada actors like Puneeth Rajkumar, Sudeep, Darshan, Ganesh, Naveen Krishna, and others to took a selfie in front of it and posted in their social profiles. The poster got nominated for Lenticular Print awards. Director Kodi Ramakrishna, who gave a tremendous hit like ‘Arundhati’ to Telugu audience made the film ‘Nagarahavu’ with over 576 VFX artists. The super natural power of Dr Vishnuvardhana has helped with completion major portion of head replacement technique.

This is Third Kannada film to get made with the title, ‘Nagarahavu’. The first one was made in 1972, considered as one of the memorable classics of Kannada Film Industry. It was directed by Puttana Kanagal and featured Vishnuvardhan in lead role. Second time the tile was used for Upendra’s Kannada remake in 2002 for a Bollywood film ‘Baazigar’.

Guru Kiran composed music for this film. Sohail Ansari, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada produced it under Pen Movies. Reportedly south Indian actress, ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Baahubali’ fame Anushka Shetty will be launching the film’s audio which will take place sometime in June. Release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers. The film will be released in three south Indian languages, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
