Five years after Arrambam (2013), Nayanthara and Ajith are all set to reunite on the silver screens for Viswasam. The suspense has come to an end. The team of Ajith’s next, Viswasam, has found its female lead, and it isNayanthara. The film, directed by Siva.
Sathya Jyothi Films on Monday made the announcement on its official Twitter handle. The film, which went on the floors last month, will reunite Nayanthara and Ajith after a gap of five years. The two actors have shared screen space in three films in the past including, Billa (2007), Aegan (2008) and Arrambam (2013).
However, there was speculation around who Ajith’s leading lady would be, with Anushka, Tamannaah, Keerthy Suresh and Shraddha Srinath said to be the frontrunners. Now, a source in the film’s team tells us that it is Nayanthara who has been roped in as the heroine. “Nayanthara will be the female lead in Viswasam and she has signed on the dotted line. This will mark the fourth time that Nayanthara will be pairing up with Ajith.
Siva’s close friend Vetri will be cranking the camera for Viswasam and Tamil cinema’s most wanted editor Ruben is also on board. The final draft of Viswasam is almost ready and Siva will be meeting Ajith by next week for the final narration.
Sources also say that the location hunt and other pre-production works are also progressing in a full swing. As the leading lady has been finalised in Viswasam, fans are now eagerly waiting to know the music composer of the film. Names like Harris, Anirudh, along with a few more are floating around but an official confirmation will be made only after Siva’s next meet with Ajith.
Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Viswasam, directed by Siva, will go on floors in February. The team is aiming to wrap up the shoot by July. Viswasam is expected to hit the theatres in Diwali.
The regular shooting will begin from March as the filmmakers are yet to share full details of the remaining cast and crew.
