One of the most awaited festivals on Bengaluru’s music calendar — the BACARDI NH7 Weekender — is back this weekend to enthrall the city’s music lovers with a stellar line-up. This year’s edition, which plays out over the weekend of December 5 and 6, has music composer AR Rahman headlining it. The Oscar winner is expected to perform on December 5.
Ahead of his performance in Bengaluru on Saturday, the Grammy Award-winning musician tells us about what made him say yes to a multi-stage music festival in India, “If it had happened in the 90s, I probably wouldn’t have come into films at all and been a happy independent artist. Films are a good thing because they helped me a great deal to achieve a lot in life, to buy a studio and gain all the fame and love”, says AR Rahman.
