Nothing could be worse than a politician being humiliated by a bunch of innocent people especially those from a village. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was stopped today from entering Basera village, where had gone to meet the family of a man lynched for allegedly eating beef on Eid and ‘storing it’ for later consumption.A huge crowd of angry women with stones and locals took to the roads, protesting Mr. Kejriwal’s entry into the village. On Friday, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi visited Bishada village to console the victim’s family and had questioned the Prime Minister’s silence on the “pre-planned murder“.

Mahesh Sharma, the local BJP MP, had also visited the bereaved family. He said the killing was an “accident” which should not be given a communal colour and over which no politics should be done as it may prove to be “dangerous“.Six persons have been arrested in connection with the case. A manhunt was launched to arrest the rest named accused in the case.
