AUG 13th is Earth Overshoot Day

Sharing is caring!

August 13 has been declared as the Earth Overshoot Day, the date when humanity would have consumed this year what the earth can regenerate, including CO2 absorption in the entire year, according to calculations by Global Footprint Network.

There are many factors that contribute to the debacle but the main culprit is fossil fuel that reduces earth’s capacity to absorb carbon emitted by burning fossil fuels. This ordeal can be substantiated by the usage of bio fuels.

So we can do our bit in curbing this atrocity by using bio-diesels instead of normal diesel. Instead of using motor vehicles, usage of  battery vehicles and cycles whenever possible can make a huge difference.
