Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, released last weekend, has shattered all box office records. If Prabhas, the hero in Baahubali, has been basking under the glory of the film’s success, its antagonist Rana Daggubati aka Bhallaladeva too has been heaped with much praise. His beefy and menacing look were the perfect antithesis to the heroic Baahubali. But did you know Rana Daggubati is actually blind in his right eye? Well, an old video of the Telugu actor where he is seen making the revelation, has gone viral.
However, the actor, who was part of a television show last year, admitted that he’s blind in one eye during his childhood. The video, which was uploaded on YouTube in 2016, is now doing the rounds on the internet. In order to motivate one of the constants, Rana narrated his own story that left the audience shell-shocked.
While speaking about his childhood, Rana admits that he is blind in his right eye. While speaking to the host and the audience, he also says that his right eye was donated to him. “If I close my left eye, I can see no one,” he says.
“LV Prasad operated on me when I was young. Study well. We will support. Be courageous as you have to look after her. Sorrows will go away one day, but you have to gear up and keep them happy always,” said the Baahubali actor.
Rana, who has been acting for eight years now, received worldwide acclaim with the Baahubali franchise. The film, which raked in Rs 180 crore in its opening day collections in India business alone, has set new standards for cinema in the country.
SS Rajamouli-directed Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and Sathyaraj.
