Almost after a decade, Rajinikanth kicked off a five-day meet-and-greet session with his fans yesterday in Kodambakkam.
Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi is all set to star opposite superstar Rajinikanth in a yet-to-be tilted film.
During the interactions, the 66-year-old confirmed that he will begin shooting for Pa Ranjith’s untitled action-romance Tamil project from May 28. And now it’s Huma Qureshi’s turn after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Radhika Apte to be wooed by him,
“The makers were keen on casting Huma in the romantic lead opposite megastar Rajinikanth as she fits the requirements of the role,” astatement read.
The film, to be directed by PA Ranjith, is scheduled to go on floors by the end of this month.
While reports suggested that the film was based on gangster Haji Mastan, the makers released a press release and quashed the baseless rumours. Thalaivar 161 is expected to release next year.
She was last seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2, and Huma’s next is Gurinder Chadha’s Viceroy’s House, and Dobaara: See Your Evil, with brother Saqib Saleem, which is an official adaptation of the Hollywood horror film, Oculus (2013).
