Mohammad Kaif (born 1 December 1980) is an Indian cricketer. He made it to the national team on the strength of his performances at the Under-19 level, where he captained the Indian team to victory in the Under-19 World Cup in 2000.
He can be both defensive and aggressive, as variable strike rates in Test and ODI cricket suggest. He was the one of the best Indian fielders at his time with great athletic and throwing skills.
Mohammad Kaif and wife Pooja became parents of a baby girl yesterday. They already have a five-year-old son, Kabir. The 36-year-old tweeted: “We are proud to announce the arrival of the newest member to our family. Pooja and I, have been blessed with a beautiful and healthy baby girl.” Congratulatory messages for the couple poured in from all quarters.
Kaif married Pooja Yadav, a Noida based journalist, on 25 March 2011.

Kaif was born in a Muslim family on 1 December 1980 in Allahabad, India. He started his career from Green Park Hostel, Kanpur. His father Mohammad Tarif has played for Railways cricket team & Uttar Pradesh cricket team. His brother Mohammad Saif plays for Madhya Pradesh cricket team & Uttar Pradesh cricket team.
