Deepika Padukone cried in front of Shah Rukh Khan

Deepika Padukone, who is emotionally very sensitive, broke down on the first episode of Shah Rukh Khan’s new chat show Baatein with Baadshah when SRK read out a heart-warming letter to her from her mother Ujjala Padukone.

After listening to the congratulatory message from her mother, Deepika couldn’t hold back her tears. And the chivalrous Shah Rukh Khan quickly got up to wipe off the tears from her face yet again proving himself to be a true gentleman in life.

Shah Rukh and Deepika have starred together in three films, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

In the letter, Mrs Padukone has written that she was proud and happy that her daughter had scaled great heights in her field of work. Reminding Deepika that she was a tomboy during her childhood, Ujjala has written as to how Deepika sacrificed a lot to get to where she was. She also added how Deepika had been single-handedly operating and running her office and house.

About the equation that Deepika shares with her mom, she had recently told a leading daily, “We all inspire each other in different ways, but it’s my mother who inspires me the most. She is the backbone of our family. My father is a celebrity and my sister started her golf career, but my mother was never in the spotlight. She is happy taking a backseat. My mother is the real hero in my family.”

On the professional front, Deepika is about to start work on her next film – a Vishal Bhardwaj directorial co-starring Irrfan.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic period drama Padmavati, that stars Deepika in the title role, was set to release on December 1, 2017 but owing to the opposition from the Rajput groups and trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the film has now been postponed for an indefinite period of time.
