The Telugu audiences are not so excited about the remake of Malayalam Super it ‘Premam’. It could be because everyone is very much impressed with the original version and not so sure if it is worth a trial to make it again in Telugu. So, to make them feel better, the makers roped in couple of actresses from the main version into Telugu remake. Anupama Parameshwaran and Madonna Sebastian will be essaying the same roles they’ve done in Malayalam. Now coming to the main head turn Malar, the junior lecturer role will be done by Shruti Haassan (It could be either makers couldn’t convince Sai Pallavi or she is busy with the studies). Anyway, Shruti Hassan is a good name to get enough attention for the film. But the problem here is, the makers couldn’t afford the happening star of South India. Especially after commercial success of ‘Srimanthudu’, Shruthi has increased her remuneration in Telugu.
So, the buzz in Film Nagar says that Hero Naga Chaitanya has taken a pay cut to let producers afford Shruti Hassan for the film. Is that a sweet gesture? Or straining for a hit film to get his career back on track?
