Former US president Jimmy Carter to be treated for brain cancer

The former US President, Jimmy Carter has been diagnosed with brain cancer for which he will be taking radiation treatment starting from Thursday and he will be away from his philanthropist work for a while now.

The cancer was discovered during liver surgery on 3rd August. He will be undergoing 4 treatments in a time interval of 3 weeks at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. He was elected as the 39th US president in 1976. He also won Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
