She was a Television artist and then came to mainstream films. Niveda Thomas has done many films as both main lead and character artist for Tamil and Malayalam movies. She played the daughter of Kamal Hassan in ‘Papanasanam’, Tamil remake of ‘Drushyam’. With her debut film in Telugu, Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s ‘Gentleman’ she gave her intro to the Tollywood Audience as well. She totally stole the show as Catherine. As the film is successfully running in theatres and her role is bagging a lot of applause, Niveda took out some time to interact with media.
This 20 year old Engineering student is familiar with Tamil and Malayalam. But by the time her first film hits theatres, she learnt Telugu as well. Impressively, she answered all the questions in Telugu. When she was asked who your favorite hero here is, without a second thought she said Nani. If you think she is obligated to say so as she worked with him, you are wrong. Because, she do have a reason. In her words,
‘I am personally a huge fan of Kamal Hassan. After joining the sets of Gentleman, I learnt that Nani is as crazy as I am for Kamal Sir. Eventually after seeing his acting and his love towards cinema, I became his fan. After joining the sets of Gentleman; I learnt that Nani is as crazy as I am for Kamal Sir. When the question was ‘Who do you wish to act with for your next?’ You’ll be surprised to know what she said. ‘Nani again.. And then for one more with Nani, if possible. But if from others I don’t want to choose one. I want to work with everyone‘ Nani did spell his magic on this Chennai girl too, didn’t he?
