Ten days after the Paris attack, security has been beefed up in the city with several police teams conducting surprise checks at pubs, malls and recreation centers following an alert from intelligence agencies. Vehicles checks and security checks were being carried out in various malls from Monday afternoon by the city police.
However, senior police officials said that there was no specific terror alert from the agencies. “There was an alert following the Paris attack. So we are just continuing with the security checks. We have not received any specific alert on Monday,” said Hyderabad Commissioner of Police M. Mahender Reddy.
