Hrithik Roshan, who has featured in the lead role in all the three films of his home production’s superhero franchise, may be playing the roles of both the protagonist and the antagonist in Krrish 4. The film will be directed by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Hrithik may be gearing up to play the hero as well as the villain in the third installment of the Krrish franchise. A source told the publication, “Hrithik has wanted to explore both the yin and yang, the positive and the negative side of the personality simultaneously. This is his chance to do so.”
Rakesh Roshan had earlier said in a statement, “When my wife showed me a tweet with Bappa’s picture as Krrish, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment.”
While Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi essayed the role of the villain in Krrish 3, Naseeruddin Shah played the antagonist’s role in Krrish. Rajat Bedi played the antagonist’s role in Koi Mil Gaya.
Currently at the scripting stage, Krrish 4 is slated to go on floors next year and will be released during Christmas 2018.
