Undoubtedly, nepotism became one of the hottest and controversial topics of the year in Bollywood, courtesy Kangana Ranaut. It became a hot topic of debate after Kangana labelled Karan Johar as “flag bearer of nepotism” on his chat show, “Koffee With Karan”. Since then, each and every actor of B-town was asked about the same. The recent to speak after the longest time is none other than Salman Khan.
Recently, at an event in Delhi, superstar Salman Khan revealed that he got to know the meaning of nepotism due to Kangana.
When he was asked about the ongoing debate of Bollywood allegedly becoming unfair towards outsiders, he stated, “I got to know the meaning of it only after Kangana talked about nepotism. (Abjaake nepotism ka matlab pata chala jab Kangana ne nepotism ke baare mein baat ki hai).”
Well, many would agree to Salman, right?
What do you guys have to say about the superstar’s quirky reaction to nepotism? Let us know in the comments below.
Earlier, when Shah Rukh Khan was asked about nepotism, he stated to a leading agency, “I don’t understand this (nepotism). How can I understand it? I am a Delhi boy, who went to Mumbai at the age of 25. There everybody loved me and accepted me. So, I don’t understand this talk.”
He further said, “I don’t understand this discussion (on nepotism). When I hear the word ‘nepotism’, I feel the other person is talking about Napoleon. Even though I know enough English, still I don’t understand it and the discussion. Whether I agree or disagree – I don’t even understand it so how can I have an opinion?”
While Aamir Khan said at an event, “It’s everywhere in the world. As far as I am concerned, I believe that people who know how to work – be it actors or technicians – we would like to work with them. It doesn’t matter if that person belongs to my family or not.”
On work front, Salman will be seen in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ , opposite Katrina Kaif. The movie is a sequel of 2012 superhit ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ .
