The Sarabjit star is one of the most acclaimed actors of this generation in recent times. Though he is from a non-filmy background, he did work really well on his skills and roles through which he reached the position where he stands today. At a recent candid conversation with film critic Rajeev Masand, Randeep Hooda talked about his proud moments and regrets over his journey till date.
While the conversation is going on with a lot of nostalgic trips from the initial days of his acting career, Randeep gave some shocking statements when the topic of ‘Highway’ came up. Though he did win a Stardust award as Best Actor 2014, he said he think director Imtiaz Ali kept Alia Bhatt a foot forward in the film. He explained, ‘In Highway, I started detesting the whole thing and I began feeling that Imtiaz is being more partial to Alia because she is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter and it really got to me. I expressed it to Imitiaz in a strong and wrong way. But I am sure he understood’.
Well, it does happen when it is a newly launched actor/ actress from reputed filmy families is casted in a film. But it is rare that someone notices it and point out. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
