The very versatile and very talented Kalki Koechlin is going to visit Chennai once again. This time it is not for her brother but for a Theatre Play. She is a part of ‘A soliloquy’, titled Soul of A Woman, a relatively new attempt in the theatre scene.
While she announces the same, she answered a few questions about Tamil Film Industry. When she was asked why she stays away from Tamil Films she said, ‘Over the years, there have been very few offers. Maybe I don’t fit into the Tamil heroine look that most directors look for. It is not very easy to place me because of my physicality…I don’t know. But I would love to do a Tamil film, and I am simply waiting for that right role with the right director to come along’. Fair enough.
She said the last Tamil film she watched was ‘Kaka Muttai’ and she loved it. When the interviewer asked if she wants to work with any particular film maker here, she said,
‘It definitely has to be Vetrimaaran’.
So, this Pondi ponnu is going to be seen in Tamil Films soon?
