Remaking is not a new trend for Film Industry. Our film makers always tend to get inspired by other language films for their projects, which turns out to be worth-a-while shots most of the time. When it comes to Bollywood and Tollywood, North and South always interchange the stories, concepts, technicians and even actors. So let’s take five blockbusters of 2016 in Bollywood and see who would fit into the lead cast if they are remade in Tollywood.

Fitoor:

Fitoor

Though Fitoor is not a highest grosser, it is a very intense love story. Noor is an artist who is madly in love with Firdaus, a girl he met when he was 13. Firdaus is daughter of Begum Hazrat, who inherits from a prestigious lineage. After watching Kanche and Mukunda, Varun Tej seems to have the stability in his acting that he can portray a serious artist. The rich girl who studied in abroad will fit right for Regina Cassandra. And how about Nadiya as Regina’s mother (Played by Tabu in Hindi)?

Neerja:

Neerja

This critically acclaimed Ram Madhvani’s directorial is Biographical Thriller. It is the life story of a brave flight attendant, Neerja Bhanot. Neerja was a model, actress and Air hostess. She is tall, beautiful and fearless. Shruthi Hassan has a log legged graceful body along with powerful face features. Poise, fashion sense, presentation, whatever the parameter is Shruthi is the only match to Sonam Kapoor in South.

Airlift:

Airlift

Written and directed by Raja Krishna Menon, Airlift was a smartly cinematized Real-life story of a Business man during invasion of Kuwait. Akshay Kumar played Ranjit Katyal who was a money minded entrepreneur, who realizes the value of life after some disastrous political situations in Kuwait and saves hundreds of lives. Amrita (Nimrat kaur) is his wife who always requests her husband to forget about people and find a safe way to escape from there, but agrees to his decision later. Now you tell me, Nagarjuna and Nayanathara are the apt matches to the roles, aren’t they?

Kapoor and Sons:

Kapoor and Sons
Kapoor and Sons

A pure family drama with a dash of humor. It shows the egos between two brothers and how their parents struggle to bind them together. Both meet a charming girl called Tia and things get worse. How did they sort out and got back together is the story. Now the only option for peppy and flirty girl roles today is Hebah Patel. Meanwhile, Naga Shourya can be the younger brother who wanted to be a writer but struggles with different jobs. Naga Chaitanya can fit into the shoes of Rahul who is a homosexual but a very formal and decent guy by behavior. I couldn’t decide who should play Grandpa Kapoor. You have any names in mind?

Ki and Ka:

Ki and ka
Ki and ka

One of the most-talked-about films of 2016. It is another comedy drama that goes on with a debate between ‘Male dominated society’ and ‘Strong form of Feminism’. Kareena kapoor Khan plays Kia who is a self dependant lady and high on her profession. She meets a guy, Kabir (Arjun Kapoor) in a flight journey and falls for him and his ideology of being a house-husband. Now, who else can be a Kabir with well built body but goes contrary with the role? Of course it is Rana Daggubati. And Trisha can be the bossy and classy Kia.
