The Ministry of Defense will be helped and supported by some specialists from Pentagon to disassemble a night vision device (NVD) obtained from terrorists who attacked Dinanagar, Gurdaspur on July 27.
The NVD, as reported by a source, is a third generation monocular night vision device used mostly by US and NATO forces.
On Tuesday night,sources said that the Ministry of Defense, through the Indian military attache in Washington DC, provided the Pentagon with a photograph and the external serial number of the NVD. Acknowledging it was an AN/PVS-14 NVD, the Pentagon needed precise information to substantiate the legitimacy , motive and last known management of the device.
