Sharing is caring!

On Thursday,Sunil Bharti Mittal-led Bharti Airtel became the first telecom company  to launch high speed fourth generation (4G) mobile data services across India ahead of the much-awaited and well acclaimed entry of Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL). Airtel, the country’s largest telecom services by sales, lashed out super fast 4G mobile data packages in over 296 towns and also is planning  to sell low-cost smartphones at a starting price of Rs 4,000. This sure is a great move by the giant telecom company.

The company has 4G spectrum in 14 circles while arch-rival RJIL, which is expected to launch its services in December, is the only player to have these airwaves in all the 22 telecom circles. Airtel also made an announcement of its tie-up with Samsung and Flip-kart for presenting 4G handsets. More such associations and collaborations  with other players will be disclosed in the near future.
