It’s official! Arjun Reddy tamil remake starring Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv



Arjun Reddy is a 2017 Indian Telugu language coming of age-black comedy drama film written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga for Bhadrakali Pictures. The soundtracks are composed by Radhan and background score is done by Harshavardan Rameshwar (Ramee). The film was released on 25 August 2017. The film tells the story of a young and brilliant medico Arjun with anger management issues. The film received critical acclaim and gained a cult following among youth in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The film has faced controversies and censor issues but has received positive reviews.

The film had a fantastic opening and grossed over Rs 31 crore in its opening weekend. Interestingly, Arjun Reddy is being remade in Tamil with Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv, who’s making his Tamil debut.

As per latest reports, filmmaker Bala has been roped in to direct the Tamil version. Vikram took to his Instagram to announce the news. This comes as a surprise news for fans. Although it has received mixed response from those who watched Arjun Reddy. One hopes that the remake does justification to the original film. It must also be noted that Vikram got his first breakthrough with Bala’s Sethu.

The film will be bankrolled by E4 Entertainment, known for producing well-known Malayalam films such as Ezra and Godha. During the film’s announcement, producer Mukesh Mehta posted on his Facebook page: “We are extremely happy to share that Dhruva Vikram will be essaying the lead in the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy. We are honoured by the opportunity and confidence shown in us by Vikram and we will work towards making it a memorable launch.”
