Last year, Vidya Balan won critical acclaim for her stellar performance as Sulu in the Hindi film ‘Tumhari Sulu’. Tumhari Sulu is, reportedly, being remade in Tamil and the lead will be none other than Jyothika, and also won her the Filmfare award in the best actress category, apart from working wonders at the box office.
The project is started to roll from March and Jyothika is expected to shoot her portion from the first schedule. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that she’ll next reunite with director Radha Mohan for the Tamil remake of Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu.
Sources say that final talks are on for the project and an official announcement can be expected very soon. “Jyothika is currently shooting for her film with Mani Ratnam and Radha Mohan is busy with his Vikram Prabhu project. Thus, the project will take off soon,” a reliable source confirmed. It is likely that the film might go on floors around June or July.
Radha Mohan and Jyothika previously worked together in the heartwarming Mozhi. The film also featured Prakash Raj and Prithviraj in important roles.
