Now that’s a little unbelievable, no? I mean, after whatever happened between Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut a couple of months ago, who would have ever thought that he would utter these lines? But well, he’s actually said it! Not too long ago, Ms Ranaut was at her sassy best when she went on to call KJo the “flag bearer of nepotism.” While on the show the filmmaker kept quiet, he soon gave a befitting response to each and every statement that Kanagna had made against him on his chat show. It sparked a whole new debate all over the country and suddenly nepotism became everyone’s favourite word.
“She had an opinion, she is an exceptional talent and I have always said that. She has her opinion and she said it. Two weeks later, I was given a platform and I said what I had to. I don’t know what to say, what she meant, whereas I have never crossed paths with her beyond here and there. She decided to choose me, to make her point which is fine,” added the flamboyant Karan.
In an interview with Barkha Dutt, the filmmaker was asked if he will apologise to Kangana for saying that she should stop playing the victim and the “woman card,” Karan said, “I felt attacked, why should I apologise? She had an opinion and I respect that, but I had my opinion to give as well.
Karan would have us believe that there is no bad blood between them. He added, “I am a fan of Kangana. I didn’t call her to my last party, but I’ll call her to my next party.”
