Kim Kardashian says she Expected to be Raped during the Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian feared she’d be killed and “mentally prepped” herself to be raped during the 2016 robbery in Paris, which resulted in nearly $10 million in stolen jewelry.

Kardashian recounted the robbery during Sunday’s episode of E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” In previous teasers for the episode, Kardashian tells her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, how she thought the robbers knew when to attack while her sisters were out at a club and and how she realized that they had a gun .

In the episode that covered the Paris Fashion Week and her robbery, Kim can now be seen describing the experience herself, saying she was sure she was going to be raped.

“I just knew that was the moment. They’re just totally going to shoot me in the head,” Kim says to her sisters. “I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.”

Before the episode’s premiere, Kim tweeted about how important it was to tell her side of the story.

“I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me,” she wrote.

On the night of the robbery, Kim was in her Paris apartment, wearing just a night robe when she heard what she assumed was Kourtney returning to the apartment. It was not long before she realised something wasn’t right. Kim didn’t have the time and mind space to alert the French police; the armed men entered her apartment by forcing the handcuffed concierge to use the key to enter the “rapper’s wife” apartment. Because of the language barrier, the concierge had to act as an interpreter, adding to the confusion. Eventually, they duct taped her mouth to prevent her from screaming.

The reality TV star said during her ordeal she thought, “They’re going to rape me and I fully mentally prepped myself.”

The robber, however, did not harm her physically, and instead put her in the apartment’s bathtub before heading off with the jewellery. In January 2016, French authorities arrested 16 people associated with the robbery.
