Stalking of celebrities is not an uncommon thing especially when it comes to Bollywood stars. Recently, news reports with Salman Khan’s fan trespassing the premises of his apartments in Bandra started doing the rounds.
Mohammad Sirajuddin, aged 25, apparently entered Galaxy Apartments at around 1:30 am as per a report in a leading daily. He entered the premises while the security guards were on their usual rounds. However, the residents spotted him and immediately informed the guard about his unauthorised presence.
The security guard called the police and Sirajuddin was handed over to the Bandra cops, who took him straight to the police station. “He was briefly questioned by the police and he told them that he had gone to use the washroom,” said sources.
The police later called his relatives to verify his story. The police learnt that since he lived close by, he was a regular visitor at Bandra Bandstand, where the Bollywood star’s house is located.
A police officer said, “After questioning him, we found nothing suspicious and he was released to his relatives after we registered the incident.”
This incident comes as an irony to the man who is the face of BMC’s Open Defecation-Free (ODF) campaign. Salman had been around slums in Goregaon to educate the locals of the risks associated with Open Defecation. To symbolise which, BMC built a toilet opposite Salman’s house, although it isn’t functional yet.
Speaking to a leading daily, Salman’s father, Salim, said, ” I am unaware of the exact details of the person who entered the building, but every day there are several people who enter and exit Galaxy Apartments besides the residents. There must be at least 50 people coming in daily. It is the watchman’s job to check on them.
Salman Khan will be seen next in Kabir Khan’s Tubelight, which will release this Eid. He will also be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai opposite Katrina Kaif.
