It is definitely unbelievable for a director who is two films old to get a call from Super Star Rajini Kanth. As the film’s audio is a super hit in both Tamil and Telugu languages, the film’s director Pa. Ranjith shared his experience while shooting Kabali and Super star’s characterization in it.

Rajini Kanth’s daughter Aishwarya is a good friend of mine. After my second film ‘Madras’ released, I got a call from her. She said Rajini sir wants to meet me. I was overwhelmed when he said that he watched my film twice. He said, I want to do a film with you tell me a story. I gave him two concepts and later Kabali got finalized. My main character Kabaleeshwarudu is born in a family which migrated to Malaysia during the British rule.  Kabali grows up to fight for the cause of the ethnically Indian workers settled down in that country.  It’s a mafia don’s story in the backdrop of Malaysia.  Kabali is a term often associated with goons.  But for my film, it is a positive aspect.’

According to Ranjith, Rajini will sport the Salt and pepper look will be seen only for 20 minutes in film. Rest of it, he will be seen as young Kabali with a retro look.

We can’t wait to watch the film on Silver Screen.. After many reschedules, Kabali will hit screens on 15th July all over the world.
