Priyanka Chopra: My first Marathi Song ‘Baba’ sung for Ventilator

Ventilator, my first Marathi venture, is a film I’m truly proud of, and I can’t wait for you guys to see it! November 4,” Priyanka, who has also done a cameo in the film, tweeted on Wednesday.

She shared the trailer of the film, which stars as many as 116 actors, including filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.

Ventilator is written and helmed by Ferrari ki Sawaari fame director Rajesh Mapuskar.

Priyanka despite being a non-Maharashtrian and belonging more towards the West , has managed to get her Marathi pronunciation so damn right. No accent, no rolling the tongue, it’s just a perfect blend of emotions and soulfulness and we think she truly deserves a bow down for this one. Not to mention, the lyrics and the music too of this song are so touching that you will be overwhelmed the minute you hear it.

The actress, who reportedly also has a cameo in the film, has however, also added another aspect of her creativity to it.

The multi-faceted actress has sung a song, in Marathi, and absolutely blown her fans with her soulfulness.

Priyanka, who’s previously sung popular international collaborations as ‘Exotic’ and ‘In My City,’ renders an absolutely soulful interpretation of the song, ‘Baba’ a tribute to fathers.

The actress, who’d been quite close to her father, even having tattooed ‘Daddy’s Girl’ onto her wrist, is evidently emotionally invested while singing the song, gifting it an added touch of earnestness. Watch the Song.
