Priyanka Chopra, who now lives in New York, escaped the recent terror attack that shook New York City, last night. An unidentified man rented a vehicle, and ran over a couple of people, refusing to stop. Eight people were killed, and 11 were injured.
The police managed to track him down and arrest him but people are obviously scared and terrified of whatever happened in broad daylight on such a busy street. According to reports, the driver kept shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ which translates to ‘God is Great’.
But thankfully our desi girl who is now based in the New York city closely escaped the terror attack. Turns out Priyanka Chopra’s NYC home is just 5 blocks away from the place where the attack took place. PC not only condemned the attacks on Twitter even wrote dreary sirens reminded her of the scary times.
Priyanka took to Twitter and said, “Nyc.. As resilient as ever. Iove you. My condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy.” She also tweeted, “This happened 5 blocks from my home, As I drive back home from work, Dreary sirens remind me that this is the state of the world #nyc #peace”.
Priyanka Chopra, 35, plays FBI agent Alex Parrish in Quantico. The first season of the show aired in 2015 and the second in 2017. She started shooting for the third season a few weeks ago. “I forgot how nice it is to be in one place for more than a week. New beginnings #Quantico3,” Priyanka captioned her post while sharing a sneak peek of the script.
