The Ragini Dwivedi-starrer multilingual Amma, has been in the making for long. It was launched in 2014 and is still under production. While the team has repeatedly spoken about how the fact that it is being made in multiple languages would mean a longer production duration, the fact that all the team members have moved on to different projects shows a different picture.
Filmmaker Faisal Saif recently announced his Hindi-Tamil bilingual thriller Shraap, and stated that it will release before Amma. In a press note, the filmmaker has said, “The delay of Amma is from the production side and it will take more time I guess, but Shraap was my prior commitment. Of course, Shraap will release before Amma.” The film’s producer, CR Manohar, too has been busy with two other projects.
