Rangasthalam is an upcoming Indian Telugu period revenge drama directed by Sukumar and produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar and C. V. Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. The film stars Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni in the lead roles, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj played other crucial supporting roles. Music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

“Rangasthalam” Movie Story Line:

The movie is set in the backdrop of a drought-stricken village named Rangasthalam. Chitti Babu (Ram Charan) is a partially deaf person who runs a boat for his livelihood. He then becomes the trusted person of powerful landlords fighting for supremacy in his village. A situation arises, however, when a villager files nomination against these landlords. He later falls in love with Lakshmi (Samantha Akkinenni).  

This is also the time where the entire village is under the grip of a ruthless president(Jagapathi Babu) who creates problems for the villagers. Upset with this, Chitti Babu’s elder brother Kumar(Aadi) decides to go against the president and faces serious problems. Rest of the story is as to how Chitti Babu helps his brother and solves all the problems in the village.

 

Performances: Ram Charan plays a brand new character — a partially-deaf engineer — and has done justice to the role. He wins your heart with his action, Samantha Akkineni had some scope for acting, and she has done a good job of it. Her expressions and chemistry with Cherry are attractions of the film as well. Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and others have also done justice to their roles.
