Cast: Raviteja,Hansika,Regina Cassandra,Sampath Raj,Prakash Raj,Brahamanandam
Producer: Rockline Venkatesh
Cinematographer: Jayanan Vincent
Raviteja’s much awaited movie Power released today with full expectations in cine people ,Bobby directed this movie on his own story with the help of kona venkat ,Rockline Venkatesh produced this movie as his first venture in Tollywood, let’s see how Raviteja manages to reach audience expectations or not …
Power story starts in Kolkata with Raviteja’s(Baldev- A Corrupted police officer) grand entry who is planning to escape Ganguly Bhai(Sampath Raj) from Cops who are insisted to produce him in court. In a serious fight Baldev got shot dead where he supposed to give his job to his followers to look over bhai.Suddenly the story shifted to Hyderabad where Tirupathi (Raviteja ) an aspiring person to become police officer in Bahadrupura region.Raviteja tries to mislead goons by wearing police uniform and undertaking the charge of Animuthyam(Brahmanandam) place . Raviteja desperately waiting to see himself in a police uniform utterly finds Nirupama(Hansika) a Stone Astrologer along with his assistant Bilahari(Sapthagiri).
Soon Raviteja falls in love with her and suddenly in a mishap he was seen by Kolkata Home minister Harsha Vardhan(Mukesh Rishi) who appoints Tirupathi in to Baldev place in an undefined plan to reach Ganguly bhai…Whether Raviteja sorts out Ganguly bhai issue? How he intended to meet vyshanavi (Regina Cassandra)? and how he starts his mission in the middle is all you have to see in theater to visualize ..
Raviteja tried his best to show complete contrast in two different roles ,Especially the way he portrayed Baldev character with his base voice and elegant body appearance purely meant justice to the role. Hansika been an added advantage in the movie and director cleverly shaped her role to show much glamour in the movie. Brahmanadam and sapthagiri done their part to the movie with their basic comedy touch to have some laughs at regular Intervals.Director Bobby tried his maximum extent to pull off the story by engraving audience to show a complete Mass flick,But when Compare to Balupu Bobby lags in story explanation to give clear idea about the movie
The story itself a mixture of Raviteja’s past movies and the director Bobby mostly concentrated on Raviteja’s character other than creating a good story to enthrall audience.Regina Cassandra wasted with small role ,Being Raviteja’s love interest she doesn’t fit towards the original character.Regina needs to improve her skills while doing emotional scenes which are key to the story.Bobby Misplaced the story with usual screenplay having lot’s of Up and Downs which is not good for a mass flick . Kona Venkat dialogues are good. Posani Krishna Murali given a good rule but his dialogues doesn’t fit to his character
Cinematographer Jayanan Vincent excelled with his camera once again and succeeded showing Raviteja in a powerful police officer look. Thaman background score works for a while and songs are just to watch for Time-pass.The most expected “Notanki Notanki” too looks normal without any surprises,Art department tried hard to generate feel about the movie.Director Bobby with his first directional venture achieved just pass marks and he needs to concentrate more for distinction.production values are at the top notch and the movie presents rich look all the way
Verdict:Power -Half Charged…!!!
At last power is a movie with voltage drops at key episodes ,but if your are a purely Raviteja fan you can barely watch Balupu and Vikramarkudu in One ticket,Expect Raviteja there is no other element that needed to be discuss in the movie.
