10 lakh rupees cash was discovered from the office of a Vyapam scam accused official on Monday. The police that he is currently put in the jail. The cash was found when table and other furniture were being moved from his room in the Vyapam building. People were shocked to see the money pondering out from the drawers.
Police were informed and they seized the cash, documents and a cheque of rupees 75,000 present in the contents of the drawer. The name of the accused official is CK Mishra. Apart from Mishra, two other Vyapam officials including the then examination controller Pankaj Trivedi and chief system analyst Nitin Mahindra have been arrested for alleged massive irregularities in recruitment in various government departments.
The scam is under investigation by CBI at present. As soon as the news of the cash was discovery was known, Youth Congress workers started protesting outside the Vyapam building.
