The controversy surrounding Pakistani artistes seems to be getting uglier by the day. This afternoon, we told you that around 100 MNS workers were arrested outside Karan Johar’s office in Andheri.
Now this would be the most unexpected twist in the entire hullabaloo targeting Pakistani actors, especially Fawad Khanand his soon-to-release, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Out of all people in the industry, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan went out of his way to ensure that ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ releases peacefully.
As per the latest reports, the actor called up Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President, Raj Thackeray to request him to put an end to entire brouhaha surrounding the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’. For those who came in late, after the heart-storming terrorist attack in Uri that killed 18 Indian soldiers, Thackeray’s political party, MNS had threatened all the Pakistani artistes working in India to leave and return to their home country within 48 hours or else they would be thrown out by the party members in their own infamous ways.
MNS even said that they would not let Karan Johar release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ unless all scenes of Fawad Khan are being chopped off from the film. They have even threatened the makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ to chop off all the scenes of Mahira Khan if they wish to release the film early next year. Now that Salman has made that special call to his good, old friend Raj, requesting him to let ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’ release peacefully, let’s wait and watch if the latter pays heed to Salman’s request or sticks to his anti-Pak artists stance.
We have also learned that after the word got out that Salman Khan called Raj Thackeray, people from the industry are impressed by his gesture.
But what will be the decision of Raj Thackeray on the matter is yet unknown.
As for the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the film is still slated for Diwali release, that is, October 28.
