After returning from his family vacation to Maldives, today, Salman Khan was spotted at the book launch of yesteryear’s female superstar Asha Parekh.
The biography titled ‘The Hit Girl’ focuses mainly on the evergreen beauty’s ups and downs in her career and personal life and it has been penned by veteran film critic Khalid Mohamed. But the highlight of the book is that our dear Dabangg Khan has written the foreward to the biography.
Looks like Salman Khan and Asha Parekh decided to color coordinate at the book launch and while Salman, wearing an all-black suit, looked his handsome best, Asha Parekh, too, made for a pretty picture.
In an interview to a leading daily, Asha Parekh was quoted as saying, “This is something I wanted to do but hadn’t gotten down to doing for a very long time. My good friend journalist Khalid Mohamed, whom I’ve known for years, helped me to do it. I hope the book is liked.”
Talking at the book launch, Salman Khan said, “Asha Aunty, thank you very much, I don’t deserve being here, paseene chot rahe hai, kya bolu. I think it’s a very this thing for any one to write their own biography, mujhse toh life mein kabhi na ho.”
Salman Khan left no stone unturned when it came to promoting the book, he said, “I am really really pleased that I am here, book, book kharido, you must buy the book, go buy the book, because this generation has lived the cleanest lives possible, professionally and personally! This book would be a book of values and principles, if has its highs, it has its lows, it has fun moments, it will have a whole career graph. I think is something you must read because it will only elevate you as a person. Thank you!”
It was a beautiful evening, and it seemed that Salman Khan and Asha Parekh decided to go matching in black, in a lovely black saree and a smart black suit respectively. With writing the foreword for this book, the Kick actor has debuted in an upcoming writing career and we cannot wait for a book on his life.
