Shah Rukh Khan is busy filming for his upcoming Aanand L Rai film titled Zero which is slated to hit the theatres in December this year, The latest is that King Khan might feature in the Hindi remake of popular Tamil flick Vikram Vedha.
Vikram Vedha is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action crime thriller film written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri and produced by Y NOT Studios. The film features R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the title roles.
SRK has agreed to do the Hindi remake of R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s Vikram Vedha, but has put forth two conditions before he gives his final nod.
SRK wanted two major changes in the script, but the makers were unwilling to accommodate them initially. However, after Neeraj Pandey acquired the remake rights of the film SRK’s demands were eventually fulfilled and Neeraj is keen on having Shah Rukh Khan on board.
Our source had informed us, “There were two things. Although Shah Rukh loved the film, it’s an extremely layered and risky project to be made in Hindi. Plus, since SRK wanted to play the gangster who eventually turns out to be a hero, the space is very similar to his Fan where you end up sympathising with the film’s villain.”
