Kamal Haasan daughter Akshara Haasan is all set to experiment with the digital platform. The actress, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the two industries, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajith and Dhanush, will play the lead in a web series.

The 26-year old is roped in for a web series based on the book ‘Good Bye Girl’, about an 18-year-old girl’s quest for justice as she seeks revenge against the rich and powerful who have wronged her in the most inhuman way.

Akshara Haasan’s digital debut is said to be directed The Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Table No 21 director Aditya Datt. Sohail Malkai, the producer of the series, says that the web series is going to attract a lot of attention as the content is going to be very intriguing.

The web-series will be produced by Sohail Maklai and Girish Johar who have acquired the rights from the author Sheeja Jose, who also has television shows like ‘Adalat’ and ‘Maano Ya Na Maano’ to her credit.

She will also undergo intense and rigorous training for the extensive thrills. Interestingly, the web-series will be choreographed under the supervision of a reputed international action co-ordinator who will join on board for this web series. The series will be majorly shot in Delhi and Bangkok.

An excited Akshara tells us, “I will be going for intense and rigorous training for the action parts of the project, as I am not that familiar about how stunts and action sequences are done.”

Akshara why she wants to explore the web sphere at this point of time, and she says, “I agree that the big screen has a lot of potential, and I have a few offers in the pipeline, too, but I feel that the same kind of potential and a certain zing exists with web series as well. It explores storytelling in a different way, which I love as well. This particular project was very appealing to me, and therefore, I’m onboard. When a film does appeal to me in a similar way, I will definitely do that as well.”
