With back to back releases Sruthi Hariharan is everywhere in Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Along with ‘Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu’, she has about 6 releases for this year so far. Saying that she likes to balance between commercial films and Off-beat films, Shruthi shared her experience while working for the Kannada Drama by debutant Hemanth Rao.

She said ‘I’m thrilled for two reasons. First, I’ve always been doing romantic roles and some serious roles as well but for the first time I was wearing a white coat and play a doctor. My character is a 27-28 year-old Dr. Suhana who loves her job a lot and finds solace in it. She will always have arguments with her parents who wants her to quit the job, get married and settle down. I used to observe a doctor in the health center where we were shooting and tried to give the best I could for the character. Hope it worked.

Second thing that is so exciting for me is acting with Anant Nag. He is a very senior artist and he was my patient in the film. I was like an excited kid in front of him listening and absorbing his experiences as an actor. It’s a coincidence that his character in the movie also narrates life experiences. Rakshith Shetty and I share a good friendship off screen. He is more director than an artist.

The film ‘Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu’ released all over Karnataka on 3rd June and Shruthi has 2 more releases and three films in making from Tamil and Kannada together.
