Tamil Actor Aravind Swamy has demanded over Rs 3 Crore for the Telugu remake of Tamil superhit “Thani Oruvan”. When producers NV Prasad had approached Aravind Swamy to reprise the same role he essayed in the original, Swamy said to have asked Rs 3 Crore as remuneration.
Shocked with the quoted figure, the makers of the Telugu version dropped the idea to cast Swamy. Even Ram Charan asked the makers to look for other actors like Sudeep or Madhavan or Neil Nitin Mukesh who could do it for relatively less price.
It’s already reported that producer Allu Aravind will oversee the production of this yet-to-be-titled movie which will see Surender Reddy directing the project. Makers want to wrap up the film within Rs 25 Crore budget.
