National Award winning filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao underwent a surgery on Tuesday at a super-speciality hospital on Minister Road. The 74-year-old who complained of respiratory problems was admitted on Monday evening itself.
“Following infection in lungs and kidneys, director Dasari Narayana Rao has been admitted. He has been given ventilator support and he is reacting to the treatment well. He will have to undergo dialysis and chest surgery,” Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, Managing Director and CEO of KIMS, said in a statement.
VIPs from movie and political fields started visiting KIMS hospital to inquire about his health and lend support to the veteran director in difficult times. Actor and producer Mohan Babu, veteran director Raghavendra Rao, Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, Manchu Manoj, director SV Krishna Reddy and others visited KIMS Hospital and inquired about Dasari Narayana Rao’s health. On Wednesday YSRCP president YS Jagan and Janasena president Powerstar Pawan Kalyan also visited KIMS hospital and inquired about Dasari’s health with doctors. Both YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan wished for speedy recovery of veteran director and politician Dasari Narayana Rao.
