Two minor girls, students of a government-run hostel who had gone missing over a month ago, were found hacked to pieces in the forest near Khaderpet, 40 km from here, on Sunday. The first lead came when locals saw a stray dog carrying a piece of a human limb from the forest into Khaderpet and informed police.
Banothu Priyanka and Banothu Bhoomika, both aged 14, were Class IX students at the social welfare hostel at Muduchekkal-apally in Nallabelli mandal. The girls were last seen on November 11, and a missing complaint was filed on November 23 with the Parvathagiri police. Police could not trace the girls.Police suspects that they were murdered a fortnight ago. The bodies are sent for post-mortem to check if they were raped before being murdered.
