Varun Dhawan Replace Salman Khan in Remo D’Souza’s dance film

Just a few months ago, Salman Khan opted out of a dance film, which was to be helmed by Remo D’Souza. No matter how many chartbusters Salman has delivered, the actor’s detractors have always felt that Bhai was born with two left feet. The story of the film, tentatively titled Dancing Dad, was about a single dad with two left feet, who will have to learn dancing for his nine-year-old daughter, to join her on the floor during a dance competition.

The Tubelight actor was reluctant to play the role as he felt that he won’t be able to do justice also, that he is too old for the part. So, now the film has apparently fallen in Varun Dhawan’s kitty. The Judwaa 2 actor has worked with Remo in ABCD 2.

According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Remo will begin the project with none other than Varun Dhawan. “Varun happily agreed when Remo approached the Badlapur actor. They have collaborated very successfully on Any Body Can Dance. After the socially relevant October with Shoojit Sircar, another dance film seems just the thing Varun needs to do”

However, Remo’s upcoming film is not the third installment of the ABCD franchise. the source further told the online portal, “This film has nothing to do with the ABCD franchise. Remo designed it for Salman. But Salman was reluctant from the start and had even recommended Varun for the role.”

The actor, who has now teamed up with director Shoojit Sircar for his upcoming film “October”, says he does not discriminate between genres.

“Success gives you more confidence, only if something works then people want you to come back to it again. I never see it as an art or commercial film, for me it’s either a good film or bad,” Varun Dhawan said.
