Few days back, the teaser of Vijay Antony’s Bethaludu (‘Saithaan’ in Tamil) had been released. The foundation of the same had Vedic serenades from the Taittiriya Upanishad. A couple lines in this fragment had clearly sounded distinctive and subsequently hurt Vedic researchers who had communicated their disappointment on this.
The stunning visuals, intriguing plot, Vijay Antony’s multiple getups and the background score stood as highlights and raised the expectations on the film. The background score of the teaser had Vedic chants from the Taittiriya Upanishad. It has now come to light that a few chants in the teaser hurt the sentiments of Vedic scholars who openly expressed their displeasure.
Responding to the criticism, Vijay Antony announced on his Twitter page that he respects the opinion of Vedic scholars and so he was withdrawing the teaser of Saithan from his Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages. He also added that a new teaser will be released at 7 PM on 5th October, after making the necessary corrections to the chants.
