Actor Vishal and Kajal Aggarwal starrer ‘Paayum Puli’ has started facing a new problem just before its release. The Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association has made an announcement that the film wont’ be screened in the theaters coming under NSC distribution areas like North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpet.
The film has been directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Vendhar Movies who had distributed Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ which ended up as a debacle at the box office. The owners of the theater seems to have used this as a weapon to make the production house to repay the losses incurred due to screening ‘Lingaa’ after paying exorbitant prices.
However the good news and a sigh of relief for the movie is that the Tamil Film Producers Council in a press statement deposed such a move by theater owners and also said that the issue will be taken up to the State Government if the theater owners continue their stand in stopping the release of ‘Paayum Puli’. The movie has been slated for release on September 4th worldwide.
