Sridevi has worked not only in Bollywood but in Indian regional cinema as well. We’ve known the film industry to always be a glamourous one, however, Sridevi doesn’t quite agree with it. In an interview with BBC, the actress revealed difficult conditions she’s worked in. The actress made shocking revelations regarding the conditions the star actress has dealt with on the sets, and how grateful she is for the existence of vanity vans.
In an interview to a leading Television channel, Sridevi made some shocking revelations. Recalling her past shooting experiences, she said, “Vanity van is a blessing for the actresses of today’s times. We didn’t have such facilities. We used to change clothes behind bushes, trees or even a bus on the sets of our films. I used to avoid drinking water on the sets of the film, as there were no clean washrooms.”
She added, “I hated shooting for those rain songs as I often used to get sick after shooting for it” Yesterday, during promotions, we asked her about her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor as she is ready to embark on a new journey. She said, “Yeh har maa ke andar hoti hai. When any child is going to start a new career, you are nervous and you are excited. So it is basically all kinds of feelings put together and I’m feeling the same.”
However, it is safe to say that that was a different time, and actors are pampered much more than they once were. After five years, Sridevi is finally returning with Mom, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The film hits the screens on July 7, 2018. Meanwhile, Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is also preparing for her Bollywood debut.
