‘Tum hi ho’ singer Arijith Singh recently posted a public Apology letter addressing it to Salman Khan. Although he immediately removed it, the uncalled damage was already done. A couple of websites wrote down the whole context and it’s trending right now. If we get into the details, it all started back in 2014 Filmfare Awards.
Arijit was nominated and won the award as ‘Best Singer’ for his infamous ‘Tum Hi Ho’ number. Salman and Ritesh Deshmukh were on stage to present him the award. When his name was announced, Arijit took a while to find his way through audience and reach the stage. When asked what took him too long, the singer joked saying, ‘Aap logon ne toh sula diya…(you guys put me to sleep)’. Though it came as a shock to everyone there, Salman’s answer ‘Aur isme humara koi dosh nahi hai, agar aise hi gaane bajte rahenge…(not our fault that the songs are so boring)’. Everyone thought Salman took it easy and called it a day.
Now when Arijith got a call to record a song for ‘Sultan’, he thought Salman have forgiven him, yet giving him a chance to sing for the film. Later he got to know his track is not going to be in the final master, he assumed it is all because what happened on stage back then and that is why Sallu doesn’t want Arijit’s voice in the final copy. He went on to the social media and poster a Sorry letter pleading him not to remove the song from album.
While these are all going on, Salman Khan’s spokes person denied to quote anything about it till he gets an official response from Salman. Sources from production house and the music composers are not commenting on it too. Now, Salman has to put an end to it.
