Why “Size Zero” gets Different Censor Certificates

Sharing is caring!

Gorgeous beauty Anushka starrer ‘Size Zero’ is all set to be released in Telugu and Tamil versions on 27th of this month. The movie has got its censor formalities completed in both the versions. It is being said the movie was issued clean ‘U’ certificate for its Tamil version. However Telugu version of the film has received U/A certificate.

As per Tamil media reports, both Size Zero and Inji Iduppazhagi feature a lengthy and steamy liplock between Anushka and Arya. While the Telugu version was censored with not many cuts, the Tamil version’s liplock was the main trouble.

But then, why this difference in censor certification in Telugu and Tamil versions? Inside reports reveal that the director has made some changes in Telugu and Tamil versions and so is the difference in censor certification.

Apparently, the CBFC officials asked the film’s makers to trim the steamy liplock and keep it only for a few seconds. This trimming would mean that the film will be passed with a clean U certificate. Considering the tax exemption benefit for a U certificate, the makers reportedly decided to cut short the liplock.

Telugu Size Zero and Tamil Inji Iduppazhagi are releasing in more than 1,500 screens worldwide. Buzz is highly positive for the film and we will have to see if Anushka will continue her success streak at the box-office.
